​​Paula Hardin is a Home Economist that has been teaching sewing in the New Orleans area (and beyond) since 1969. She has taught thousands of teens and adults how to sew. Classes are offered for beginners, all the way to the most daring. Over the years, she has been affiliated with JoAnn Fabrics, Hancock Fabrics and Hobby Lobby. 

Classes are 4 hours and offered at 946 Jefferson Hwy. near Ochsner Hospital (main campus) in New Orleans on most Tuesdays, Thursdays and Saturdays from 10:30am-2:30pm. Tuition is $40 per class. Take as many classes as you'd like!

These classes are hands-on SIT-N-SEW classes for all skill levels, ages 13 and up. They are designed for the student who needs all the basics as well as those who need motivation, shortcuts, new techniques, sewing machine help or understanding and fitting patterns, etc. Sew for yourself, family, friends or your home using your own machine or one of ours. The class may be taken as often as you wish, selecting a new pattern or project to learn new skills each time. All sewing can be done in class. Bring any sewing supplies you may already own.
